So I abandoned my pink egg and accidentally picked up a purple one when I really wanted one that had "strange markings on it." I killed the
purple one and the only one left was another purple one. So I have one purple one and a dead purple one.

You might want to check the forums at the Dragon Cave. It has a Help forum that explains most any question you might have. I'm not sure how to trade, but
I do know people are doing it.
Jester - you have a rock dragon. Dragons usually hatch at 3 days. If you are not getting enough clicks, usually people in the forum have places you can post your eggs to help you get enough views to make your eggs hatch. I had to do that with my first batch.

Yes, Rock dragons are kind of cool. It's not actually the clicks, but the ratio of views/unique views. If you don't start getting cracks in your egg
after 4 days let me know and I will post it on the GAIA forum for you (which is a forum that helps with enough views to get your dragons to grow).
